What is Survey Compare?

Survey Compare is a UK based company that brings some fair and reputable survey sites together. The whole idea is to present users with trustworthy survey sites in one place. Survey Compare itself does not offer surveys.

Is Survey Compare a Scam?

Not at all! They make a brutally honest statement on their website which put to bed any doubts in my mind that they could possibly be a scam.

We always let people know that by doing paid surveys they will not make millions; rather pocket money. This is not a way to earn a full-time income so we strongly advise that you do not take part in surveys from companies that claim that you can get rich quick by simply taking surveys. This is simply not true.

This level of accuracy and brutal honesty is more than you will get on any other survey site. shows that they are telling you exactly what you are getting on their site and they are telling you this is what you should be getting on other sites too.

The fact is you can only make a couple of dollars at most from taking surveys, regardless of what survey site it is that you are looking at.

My Thoughts on Survey Sites

You could literally spend 5 hours every day for a whole month and end up with $10 at the end of the month on a very good month. To further complicate things, most survey sites will only let you cash out when you hit around the $50 mark.

Most people view the whole concept of getting paid for taking surveys as an easy way to make money. After all the surveys are free to take, so why not get paid if all it takes is some of their time? This sort of thinking is the problem.

People are trading their time for peanuts. They do not stop to compare how much time they spend taking surveys versus the reward they get from taking them. This is time they could spend building an actual business online that could earn them substantial income for years to come.

How Does It Work?

As soon as you sign up to Survey Compare, you are provided a list of companies that have surveys available in your area. You are encouraged to choose as many of these companies as possible to get as many surveys as possible. The more surveys you are able to take, the higher your earning potential.

After choosing the survey companies, you will get an email from each of them prompting you to confirm your registration.

At this stage, your business with Survey Compare is done. Everything you do from now on will be handled by the individual survey panel involved.

You never really created an account with Survey Compare anyway. They just took some of your details to determine what survey panels to recommend to you. Normally when you sign up to a program, you get a confirmation email from that program. Survey Compare sent no such email. Basically, they are a bridge between you and these survey companies.

They claim these companies are trusted and reputable, but it is still up to you to do your due diligence before committing your time to taking surveys on any of them. One of these trusted companies they recommend is Global Test Market, a company that seems to have just as many negative reviews as they have positive reviews, if not more. It goes to show that even though Survey Compare trusts them, not all of these companies are trustworthy.

Apart from the baby pay, another major problem I have with a lot of survey sites is that they do not pay up the little they owe you. They hear your opinion by letting you take the survey, you earn a few bucks and they always find reasons not to pay up.

How I make money “on the side”

I suppose the reason most people join survey sites is to make a little money on the side. If this is you, I have a better proposition for you. Hope you like it…

I make money on the side by building what is called mini-niche websites. These are websites where a huge bulk of the work is done at the beginning with the design and content framework. Because most of the work has already been done, the websites do not require constant updating and become real passive income generators within a few months.

I do not have a grudge with Survey Compare. They are completely legit. My grudge is with survey sites in general. I think people spend much more time on them than they should.
