The Ads Team Review: You May Want to Stay Away

October 15, 2016 by Amedu Leave a Comment

Is The Ads Team a scam? Is it a Ponzi scheme? Check out this review to find out if this is the best program for you.

Is The Ads Team a Scam

An Overview of The Ads Team

There has been a growing buzz about this platform on social media heading into its launch. All you need to do is peep their Alexa rank of around 104,000 at the time of writing to understand the kind of popularity the platform already has. They already had over 7,600 members registered before their launch. Anyway, I decided to wait until the day of the program launch to write this review…

Here is a point-form list of things you might want to know about The Ads Team before you go ahead and read this in-depth review:

  • It is a scam
  • There are no real products
  • There are no real services
  • It is your traditional RevShare scam (like AdClickXpress, My 24 Hour Income, Traffic Powerline, Ads Division, etc)
  • It is a Ponzi scheme
  • The SEC will come after them at some point and shut them down eventually

This review was written based on what the company claims and what I saw after opening an account with them but I leave it up to The Ads Team members and non-members alike to provide us with the most updated information on the program in the comments section below.

What is The Ads Team?

The Ads Team is a revenue sharing (RevShare) platform that claims they exist to offer advertising services. They share the profits from selling advertising packages and services among all members provided they are considered “active”.

This definition applies to almost every single RevShare program you could find. They all claim to offer advertising services because they have to appear to be offering something. The fact remains the company sells no real products and they will get all of their revenue from the sale of Ad packs.

How does it work?

There are 3 ways you can make money on The Ads Team:

(1) Purchase Ad Packs and View 10 Ads Daily

An “Ad Pack” is an advertising package. These packages are credits members have to purchase in order to participate in the platform’s traffic exchange network and qualify to receive their share of the profits from the company’s advertising activity. Each Ad Pack could cost $10, $25 and $50 and they claim you will get between 110% – 120% ROI.

Remember that you have to watch 10 ads a day to qualify for Daily ROI.

(2) Earn Commissions from Your Referrals’ Investments

They apply a 5-level tier MLM referral commission system at The Ads Team. Here is an outline of how it goes:

  • Level 1: Your direct referrals
  • Level 2: Level 1’s direct referrals
  • Level 3: Level 2’s direct referrals
  • Level 4: Level 3’s direct referrals
  • Level 5: Level 4’s direct referrals

So for Ad-Pack purchases made by these members, here’s is what you earn:

  • Level 1: You earn 8% of the value of their investment
  • Level 2: You earn 2% of the value of their investment
  • Level 3 – Level 5: You earn 1% of the value of their investment

Your earnings from your referrals’ commissions are only available for you to re-invest into more ad-packs. None of it can be withdrawn!

(3) You can Earn by Viewing PTC Ads

Like with all PTC platforms, you can earn a few cents by viewing a few ads.

Pros of The Ads Team

  • None

Cons of The Ads Team

  • The SEC describes this business model as a Ponzi scheme
  • Ponzi schemes are illegal and do not last long (AdCrump lasted a month!)
  • The traffic you will be getting with your Ad Packs is irrelevant non-targeted traffic of The Ads Team members being forced to view 10 ads
  • No real products
  • You have to invest a lot of money to stand a chance of making a lot of money
  • No community at this moment
  • Nowhere to get support
  • It’s the owners first launched product

Who is The Ads Team for?

Ideally, I would say NOBODY. If I am pushed, I would say this is for people who are ready to gamble their hard earned money on a new program without reputable owners operating a business model that could be shut down anytime. Plus, the folks that jump from Ponzi scheme to Ponzi scheme of course.

Payment Forms

There are currently 5 forms of payment in The Ads Team: Payza, Solid Trust Pay, Payeer, Perfect Money and Bitcoin.

The Business Model and the SEC

I will start by summarizing what I think is the Business Model adopted by The Ads Team before going on to tell you what the SEC thinks about it. Like I said earlier, The Ads Team members and non-members are welcome to disagree with me by leaving their thoughts in the comments.

Now here is what I think of The Ads Team’s business model: All of the revenue generated by The Ads Teams comes from the sale of Ad Packs.

Here is what the SEC had to say about the business model of a huge RevShare platform that they recently shut down, Traffic Monsoon:

More than 99% of Traffic Monsoon’s revenue comes from the sale of AdPacks. Traffic Monsoon could not pay returns to investors without the sale of new AdPacks. Traffic Monsoon is a classic Ponzi scheme in which investors are paid from money contributed from new investors, and there is little real business activity.

With The Ads Team, it’s not a question of “if” but a question of “when” the SEC comes chasing after them. They are a blatant Ponzi scheme that does not even make any effort to mask it somehow. If the SEC could shut down Traffic Monsoon, I do not understand why they wouldn’t shut down The Ads Team.

There is also the additional possibility that the owners of this program could just decide to run away with your money before the SEC shuts them down, like the owner of AdCrump did.

Closing Thoughts

Take a look at Traffic Powerline, Ad Wealth System, Ads Division (has shut down), AdClickXpress, AdCrump (shut down in less than a month), My 24 Hour Income or any other RevShare platforms you could find. The Ads Team is in no way different than any of the regular RevShare Ponzi scheme scams around.

If for some reason you are still hell bent on joining a Ponzi scheme, at least sign up for one that has been around for a few months. The Ads Team is completely new and we have seen nothing to confirm that they would even be around in the next month!
