Hi, my name’s Amedu and I recently graduated from college.
I’m an internet marketer, and The Opportunity Scout is where I teach people how to make people online by building an online business.
I am neither a computer geek nor a fraudster, but really just here to help guide well-meaning folks to the right training that will enable them to spot great and legitimate opportunities online without having to throw a bucket-load of money on initial investments.
There seems to be a cycle in this world: be born, eat, walk, talk, go to school, finish school, look for a job, and then hope you land a good job. This is the thinking some of us were born into. If you told me 5 years ago that I’d be calling myself an online marketer now, I would have rolled on the floor laughing.
Funny thing is I didn’t know there was a thing called online marketing. And when I say I didn’t know, I mean I had no clue there was such a thing.
At the time, I had just got into college to study Engineering. I enjoyed it in the initial stages, but I later discovered that I would not be happy doing that for the rest of my life even though my grades were great.
I’m pretty smart, not genius smart though.
It was at that point, I decided to switch to Economics. Something I felt would be relevant to me if I ever wanted to start up a business.
On one fateful evening in December 2014, I was very low on cash and frustrated from applying for many jobs with no one getting back to me. Then I made a mistake.
In hindsight, this mistake has turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. It dawned on me to find the “easy” way out and find a not so regular job. Being totally clueless, I saw one of these “Make money easily” ads or something along those lines.
Upon following up on it and getting in contact with the people that posted the ad, something just didn’t feel right about the whole thing. They were being very pushy, and looked desperate really. I did my research and found out these things were called Pyramid Schemes and they are illegal in most countries.
The “good” mistake I made was contacting these people. I should have realized that “easy” money is hardly, if ever, legit. I ended contact with them.
While doing my research on the Pyramid Scheme company (WakeUp Now which has since closed down), I came across information on the possibility of earning an income online. I found a few platforms that offered this, and did my homework accordingly by reading reviews.
Somehow I came across a program that stood out for me – a program called Wealthy Affiliate. I do not recall which page I read the review of this program on, but I know I was drawn to it at the time. The free starter membership also meant I had nothing to lose by giving it a go.
I was a bit overwhelmed when I joined, people following me and welcoming me to the community, a personal message from both owners Kyle and Carson, and many others offering to answer any questions I might have.
Despite this great community, I didn’t take any action until after 3 days or so.
Within a few days of starting the training, I had a fully operational website up and running. I was on and off with my commitment in the first few months due to school stuff, but I was 100% in it during the summer of 2015. Roughly 7 months after building my first website, I made my very first sale! At that moment I realized I could actually achieve something really special if I worked hard at it.
Just to be clear: I am NOT saying you will definitely have to wait 7 months to start making money online. It was only when I got consistent in the summer of 2015 that I made money. Coincidence? I think not. If you hit the ground running right away, there is a high chance you could start earning a lot sooner than 7 months.
Now…In 2017
I enjoy everything I do as an Online Marketer. I have been able to build a couple of successful websites (including this one) and I can tell you there is no better feeling than working for yourself doing what you love, wherever you want and whenever you want. You will not be doing what you have been instructed to do but instead, what you choose to do.
I am very grateful that my very first venture in to making money online was with Wealthy Affiliate. I’ve read testimonials of people that weren’t so lucky. I nearly fell for a false opportunity with a Pyramid Scheme myself. The goal of the Opportunity Scout is to make sure people recognize that there are indeed ways to make legitimate income online by working hard on something you love.
I have gotten tremendous help from the people at Wealthy Affiliate, and I am trying to forward this help to many people out there. I genuinely have a passion for helping people out, so I assure you my complete support and encouragement.
What else do I do in my spare time? I play/watch/debate about soccer, play video games, hang out with friends, watch TV shows and of course, exercise.
You can contact me here, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. You could also always get in touch with me within Wealthy Affiliate (here is my profile)
Best Wishes,
Amedu

Hi Amedu, my name is Oziren Ogbimi a Nigerian. On my quest to find a way to make money online, somebody introduced me to Zarfund. I decided to read about it online. I just typed ‘Zarfund review’ on my google search engine, and the first on the list of the result search by google was a review by ‘THE OPPORTUNITY SCOUT’. I decided to click on it and it opened my whole reasoning horizon. I saw for the first time online, a genuine, legal, non pyramid schemes and an educative way of not just making money online, but also building on what you enjoy doing. I discovered ‘WEALTHY AFFILIATE. I immediately fell in love with it and wanted to join. But i was told i could not be registered because my country was not supported at the moment.
I will be extremely happy if you can assist me on this. I really want to join #WEALTHY AFFILIATE.
Thanks,
Oziren

Hello Oziren,
I’m glad to hear my review on ZarFund helped you make a good decision. You really dodged a bullet with that company!
Unfortunately, you are not able to sign up for the Free Starter membership from Nigeria. Wealthy Affiliate has had issues in the past with people signing up for the Free Starter Membership from Nigeria. However, you can still sign up for the Premium membership. If you are still having problems signing up for the premium membership, please feel free to reach out to me again.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Amedu

Amedu is NOT being honest with you at all. He is wanting you to buy from his company. Modere has been around for 30 years. There is NO pyramid scheme. You either like their toxin free products or you don’t. Shop on Amazon for all the FDA approved toxin filled products and get nothing but adding toxins into your life over and over again with painful health issues as a result. I am one of those statistics! He is misrepresenting Modere, not correct on any figures he’s written, and I am reporting him for fraudulent claims. He’s only doing this to make money through affiliate companies which anyone can do.
Sad slandering site! Will you even allow this to me posted Amedu?
I imagine you don’t allow the truth to be posted.

You’re not the first MLM consultant to come on here and disagree with me, so why wouldn’t I post your comment?
Have a good day, Elaine.

Great site Amedu.
How much do you earn monthly from your affiliate marketing excluding HWA commissions?
Amedu says
Hey Craig,
I understand people being skeptical and wanting to be sure if they could really earn substantial money but I usually don’t answer this question for a couple of reasons:
The first reason is I feel like earnings should be personal. Some feel comfortable sharing how much they have made and if you check my WA review, you would even find screenshots of a couple but I don’t feel comfortable publicizing my earnings.
Another reason I don’t share earnings is because a lot of scam programs show off false income statements. I have written a lot of scam reviews on this website and this appears to be a common theme in 90% of them. I give them a bashing for it because I prefer to show people what value they are getting rather than how much I have made.
The last reason and probably the most important is the fact that earnings are unique. If I told you I was earning $X every month, I should not even be an indicator that you would be earning $X or about that per month as well. If you look through some testimonials, you will find people earning $100 a month, people earning $1,000 per month, those earning $10,000 per month and others much more. They are all in different niches, put in different amounts of time and work, but they all got the same training.
What I feel comfortable sharing is how affiliate marketing has shaped my life. I’ve been able to pay my international student university tuition for 2 school years now in Canada. I am about to graduate and I am not one bit worried about if I will get a job or not because I already earn enough to not bother searching. I have the luxury of working where I want and when I want.
Cheers,
Amedu

Everyone has a OPINION about this company or that company and most STINK – you’ve never built an organization – so what makes you an EXPERT on anything? Why anyone would listen to you is beyond me.

HI Amedu,
I understand everything you’ve published is your opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You being a public figure though, your words do carry more weight. I saw that you wrote a review on It Works back in 2017.
I highly recommend you looking into the company again. I’m a customer and not a distributor. My distributor is very honest and tells me the truth. She explains the body wraps are NOT for weight loss, but more for tightening the skin. Their new products have helped me lose a lot of weight, I’d just like to kindly ask you to look into this company again. Thank you for your time.
