An Overview: What is NeoBux?
NeoBux is a paid-to-click (PTC) website platform. The cycle of PTC websites is: Advertisers use NeoBux to get traffic to their site. NeoBux members get paid for carrying out some short tasks involving clicking, tasks like viewing advertisements.
The idea is that advertisers are supposed have a better chance a making a sale when a member views their advertisements, and NeoBux paying members is an incentive to get more people viewing more ads.
The advertising is not limited to outside companies, but also available to members themselves. All members need to do is purchase advertising credits and they can advertise their program offers and websites.
You have to abide by the terms and conditions of NeoBux to the letter. Any breach of their rules could lead to the suspension of your account, even if you are due to be paid money.
How Do You Earn Money with NeoBux?
Let me state that you cannot earn a full-time income from NeoBux. It does not matter how hard you work. You just can’t. The maximum you can make per ad viewed is $0.020.
There are two ways you can earn money with NeoBux. One of them is getting paid to click (PTC), while the other way is by getting referrals to join NeoBux.
(1) Paid to Click (PTC)
Using this method, members will get paid just for clicking on advertisements. The amount you earn for each advertisement you view depends on a few factors like the type and the length of the advertisement.
Fixed, Mini Exposure and Micro Exposure advertisements will always be available for you to view. However, Standard and Extended Exposure ads are only available depending on the advertisers for each day.
After fully viewing each ad, the amount you have earned should be showing in your account balance.
This method has a higher earning potential than using PTC. In NeoBux, there are two kinds of referrals.
- Direct Referrals
- Rented Referrals
As soon as you become a member of NeoBux, you automatically get a referral link. Next thing you do is share this link on social media, put it on your website if you have one, post it on another website, send this link through emails, etc. Do anything you want to do to get your links clicked on. If someone clicks on your link and signs up to NeoBux, they automatically become your direct referral.
Another way they advise you can get referrals is by word of mouth. Tell people to head to the NeoBux website, sign up and fill you in as their referrer. This way, they still become your direct referral.
Whenever they get paid for viewing an ad, you get some commission.
This is one I find very weird. NeoBux offers you the opportunity to rent clickers from within their platform at a cost. These clickers are pooled from members who signed up without a referrer. At least that’s what they claim anyway. You will only get referrals that clicked on at least 11 advertisements over the past 5 days.
The same rule applies: when they view ads and get paid, you get paid some commission as well.
Below is a table showing the rental rates for each referral per month and criteria for the number of referrals you can rent depending on your membership level:
You have to be strategic when paying for rented referrals. You have to be sure you will earn much more than you will be spending on getting these referrals.
How Much Could You Really Earn?
Let’s assume you sign up as a Standard member (for free) and you do not pay for any rented referrals. If you are able to get 25 direct referrals and each of them average about 2 clicks per day, here is what the NeoBux calculator predicts…
Let’s try another one. This time with 100 direct referrals averaging about 2 clicks per day…
Even though both amounts are not much, I would consider them fairly okay if the calculations were not flawed somehow. How are they flawed? Let’s take a look at what’s buried in the fine print under the earnings calculator…
Presented earnings are calculated based on the minimum amount of advertisements you have per day and also based on the options you’ve selected which are variable and may be higher or lower than presented. All calculations are based on standard exposure advertisements. For profit calculation you need to subtract the referral management expenses from the earnings.
Remember I said earlier than standard exposure advertisements are not always available?

Is NeoBux a scam?
I have presented you with the facts and information concerning NeoBux. I have also done my due diligence to let you know what people are saying about NeoBux. Now it is up to you to decide if you think NeoBux is a scam or not.
Looks to me like some people are getting paid, others are not. Some people keep their account, others get shut down. You decide… 🙂
You could spend 7 hours each day viewing ads on a PTC website and still earn a whooping $7 at the end of the month. What I do not understand is why people wouldn’t just spend those 7 hours building a real business online that could earn them a full-time income. Nobody enjoys viewing ads, you waste a lot of hours doing it and then you earn pizza money at most at the end of the month. That is if you even get paid at all. Where is the win in this situation?
