An Overview of CrowdRising

Is it just me that has noticed a huge influx of cash gifting programs into the internet marketing space? My last couple of reviews have been cash gifting programs and I did specifically plan to target these programs. These scam programs just keep throwing themselves in my face so I always end up having no choice but to inform the public about them. I must confess that I find these reviews to actually be the easiest and among the most interesting scam reviews, I get to write. I’m not 100% sure but I think I found this one while doing my homework before writing the ZarFund review.

Like its siblings, ZarFund and Leased Ad Space, the cycle of CrowdRising is the same. Donate gifts to someone in order to qualify to have gifts donated to you. You could even say CrowdRising is a mix of its two siblings because the gifting here occurs with both regular currency and Bitcoins.

One major red flag I spotted even before taking a detailed look at their business model was the fact that there was no mention of the owner of this platform anywhere on their website. I had to do a Whois lookup of their website to discover that the website was registered by Gerhard Rempel in March 2016. We will talk a little bit about Gerhard Rempel’s history online in a minute.

The website’s Alexa ranking of a whopping 35,000 tells me just how popular the program is. Way too many people are considering or falling for this scam for me to keep quiet. There really isn’t much I can do about those that have already signed up but I can at least give the people that are yet to sign up the details of what they are getting into with CrowdRising.

As is my usual practice, I am inviting all CrowdRising members and non-members alike to support or argue with the details of this review in the comments section below. Add to it, subtract from it and provide us with the most up to date information on how the system works within CrowdRising. The aim is to provide the most accurate information possible to the unsuspecting public.

What is Crowd Rising?

Crowd Rising is a Multi Level Marketing where cash gifting takes place between members using both regular currency and bitcoins. Any other definition for this program would be unnecessarily complicated.

This program offers zero products and it is literally a case of having to gift someone money to be able to have someone else gift you money.

If you are looking for a fancier definition of CrowdRising, here is their official statement…

CrowdRising is an exclusive, unique member-to-member world donation platform.

I find the whole cash gifting system quite hilarious, to be honest. Why would one affiliate suddenly just decide to donate money to another affiliate?

The Owner(s)

Crowd Rising refused to officially disclose the owner(s) of the platform. Here is what they had to say about the founders of the program:

CrowdRising is a semi-automated system created by 5 individuals, who are funding and Founding members, referred to as the 5 Horsemen.

Unfortunately, Gerhard Rempel made a mistake by not hiding his identity while registering the website. Surely he has to be one of the owners for him to have registered the website?

Gerhard Rempel’s online history really is nothing to write home about. He was co-owner of a program called Belizers way back in 2013. This program promised affiliates 150% ROI for investments between $10 and $25. Of course, it has since closed down.

How about another program he headed in 2015, Fast Perpetual Cash Cyclone? This was an ad credit Ponzi scheme that has since closed down as well.

Can you spot a short pattern here? Unless Mr. Rempel has repented from his sins, it is not far-fetched to predict what will happen to CrowdRising in the near future. In fact judging by what I have seen of the business model of CrowdRising, I can tell you he has not repented and it will indeed be shutting down in the near future.

Who is it for?

If you already have some internet marketing experience and you do not mind getting involved with an obvious Ponzi scheme, then you will not have an ethical problem with participating in this program. I did not even write this review for people in that category anyway. My priority are the beginners who do not know what they are getting into with CrowdRising.

Heart to Heart For Internet Marketing Beginners

This might look like an easy opportunity to make quick money unethically but the truth is you will probably struggle to make any reasonable money with this program.

Why? Because you will need to get referrals to join the program and besides tricking your friends and family, how do you plan on getting these referrals?

People who already have internet marketing experience will find it easier to get referrals than you.

To be successful with this program – and I still do not recommend you even try the program at all – you will need proper training and tools on how to leverage already existing traffic on the internet.

How does CrowdRising work?

Let me address the elephant in the room first. You might be wondering if there is any chance you could make money with CrowdRising. It might even be all you’ve been wanting to know since the beginning of this review.

The answer is Yes. You can make money with CrowdRising. Does that in any way mean that cash gifting and Ponzi schemes become legal? Absolutely not!

The cycle of this program is the same as all the other cash gifting schemes.

They let you walk in through the door for free. They pressure you to gift your referrer within 3 days or else your account will be locked. This is not a bluff because they will really lock your account. You could choose to sign-up again though.

As soon as you have gifted your up-line, you automatically become qualified to receive gifts from your downline. Your downline is the group of people you refer and the people your referrals refer and so on. This is the only way you can earn money using this program, seeing that they offer no affiliate products you can sell.

The Price of CrowdRising

There are 15 levels of giving and receiving “donations”:

Level 1: You have to gift this up to your up-line within the first 3 days of creating your account to prevent it from getting “soft locked”. This costs $20.

Level 2: If your account was “soft locked”, you can only unlock it by paying for both Level 1 and Level 2 to your up-line. This costs $40.

Level 3: You have to gift $60 to your up-line.

Level 4: You have to gift $100 to your up-line.

Level 5: You have to gift $200 to your up-line.

Level 6: You have to gift $300 to your up-line.

Level 7: You have to gift $400 to your up-line.

Level 8: You have to gift $500 to your up-line.

Level 9: You have to gift $700 to your up-line.

Level 10: You have to gift $990 to your up-line.

From Level 11 to 15, you have the option of gifting using Bitcoins.

Level 11: You have to gift $1,100 to your up-line.

Level 12: You have to gift $1,200 to your up-line.

Level 13: You have to gift $1,300 to your up-line.

Level 14: You have to gift $1,400 to your up-line.

Level 15: You have to gift $1,500 to your up-line.

Before you can go up to a higher level, you will have to purchase all the levels below it. For example, you will have to purchase Level 1 before you can bump up to Level 2. You will have to purchase both Level 1 and 2 before you can bump up to Level 3. This means you will have to spend $9,810 to get up to Level 15!

The Compensation Structure

One important thing you need to know is: You can only earn up to the level you have purchased.

This means that in order to earn the highest possible level of commissions, you are going to have to spend $9,810 to get up to Level 15.

For example, let’s say you are in Level 1. If one of your referrals goes up to Level 2, they will only be gifting you the $20 from Level 1. The $40 gift from Level 2 will go up to the nearest Level 2 member in your up-line.

Another thing I will tell you is CrowdRising operates using a 5 x 10 matrix system. This leaves room for 12 million participants in your downline.

Remember you have to gift your up-line $20 first to qualify to earn commissions. Once you have done that, 5 spots are unlocked right below you. When these 5 spots are filled, you will have to gift $40 to your up-line again to unlock Level 2.

Here is a breakdown of earnings potential:

Level 1: Gift $20 to your up-line and qualify to receive $20 each from 5 referrals

Level 2: Gift $40 to your up-line and qualify to receive $40 each from 25 referrals

Level 3: Gift $60 to your up-line and qualify to receive $60 each from 125 referrals

Level 4: Gift $100 to your up-line and qualify to receive $100 each from 625 referrals

… and so on

Payment Forms

In CrowdRising, transactions are carried out directly between the parties involved. There is no list or restrictions on how you choose to make payments. You can fill out your preferred payment method in your profile to make your referrals aware. The process is quite flexible and you can communicate and reach an amicable solution that is conducive for all parties.

Support

They have a support page where you can file any complaints or ask any questions you might have. The support is not available 24-7 though.

Closing Thoughts

CrowdRising, ZarFund, Leased Ad Space and likes of them have only made an attempt to cover the fact that they are cash gifting schemes. At this current stage, they are simply a free platform where people voluntarily decide to hand over cash gifts to each other for no products or service whatsoever.

It might seem like a good idea now but I can assure you, people will get hurt when this program eventually closes down. Notice how I said ‘when’ and not ‘if’? A time always comes with this kind of programs when the cash gifting has to stop because there is no new person to recruit into the scheme. The people that get hurt are usually the people that are nearer to the bottom of the scheme than they are to the top. The people close to the top at the time the program eventually closes will not lose much sleep, as they would have made enough money by then. If you join them now, you are going to be at the bottom of the pyramid scheme. So think deeply about this!

Let’s say hypothetically you did sign up for this program. If you are morally bankrupt, you could earn your Level 1 donation very quickly if you trick some of your friends and family to join CrowdRising. If you are even thinking about doing that, I suggest you take a look at yourself in the mirror. It’s bad enough to make a conscious decision to join a scam, but to drag people that are close to you into the mess is totally unforgivable.

If you decide not to bring them into this, you are going to have to come up with a system to gain referrals. Signing up people you already know will help you break even but you will still need a system to gain more referrals if you want to stand a chance of making any significant money off this. The only free way to get access to the largest pool of people is to leverage people searching for stuff online. To achieve this, you are going to need great SEO and Internet Marketing Training.

I am not trying to be cocky here, but I could build my downline from this website by just putting a CrowdRising referral link and writing a false positive review about the program. Why did I not do that? Because I have principles and I will never recommend an obvious scam to my readers, regardless of how much I could earn by promoting it.
