Product Report Card Review
PRODUCT NAME: Product Report Card
Price: 100% Free to sign up
Overall Ranking: 60/100
Owners: Zac McGrath
Verdict: Legit
Our Recommendation: Even though this is one of the better survey sites, the best one still remains Swagbucks because it rewards you for stuff you already do. But as good as these programs are, you will not make rent money on any survey site. I suggest you build an online business if you want to earn real money online. Check out my top recommendation to learn how.
An Overview of Product Report Card
I’m not quite sure how I came across this program but I was supposed to write this review a while ago. The rating above is probably as high as I would ever go for survey sites and PTC sites.
Of course, this is all speculation and I would not hesitate to give a higher ranking if I ever found a program that deserved more than this ranking. I really think this is as high as I would go though.
Signing up for Product Report Card was a pain in the ass to be honest.
What kind of program makes you go through 7 steps to sign up?? They also ask you a bunch of personal questions like what you do for a living, how much you earn, your marital status and stuff like that. They even ask for your phone number and address!
I was very skeptical at first but the whole brand appearance of the program looked totally legitimate to me, so I took a punt and filled those personal details in. If they dared ask for my credit card details though, I would have said au revoir to the program instantly.
In case you didn’t know, “Au Revoir” is French for “goodbye” or something like that 🙂
They only want your phone number and address for verification purposes and they explicitly state that on the sign-up form. As soon as they send you a text containing your verification code, they are done with your phone number. At least that’s what I think. At this moment, I have not gotten any annoying phone calls and I hope it stays that way.
In the member area, you are immediately asked to complete your profile. As if filling the form was not stressful enough?! Here is how much stuff you have to fill in your profile…
The good thing is they compensate you for each section of your profile you fill out. In fact, they give $5 for just completing the whole verification process. If you completely fill out your profile, you should have earned just over $8 already.
I still didn’t feel like filling out my profile completely though…
What is Product Report Card?
Product Report Card is a website which allows you to take surveys and get paid for it.
They strive to provide honesty to their members and as such, they expect a high level of honest from their members too. It is not the kind of system you can rig and dump fake reviews just to make some money.
It really is not a system intended to help you make a lot of money. View it like this: you are being compensated for taking time out to help out.

How Does Product Report Card Work?
Once you have signed up, you should receive your first survey within 24 hours in your inbox. For each survey you participate in, you get paid. You get paid more for some surveys than you will for others. And of course the more surveys you take, the more money you will make.
Here’s the thing though: You will not automatically qualify to take every survey.
You typically would not get a lot of surveys just open for you to review. I believe Product Report Card do this deliberately to preserve the integrity of the program. There are products available within the system which you could purchase first and take surveys on. This way you can make some money off the product.
I cannot really blame them for doing this because I understand they have to put certain measures in place to make sure reviews are as honest as possible, despite how annoying these measures might be. Needless to say, these boundaries strongly limit your earning potential with the program.
So the gist of this is you are faced with two choices: Wait for surveys to be given to you when they feel you are qualified to take them OR purchase products and take surveys on them.
There are a lot of products to choose from if you do decide to purchase products. Products like coffee makers, refrigerators, weight loss programs, body lotion, golf shoes, dumbbells, binoculars, etc.
Basically, a collection of products spread across Kitchen, Bed & Bath, Fitness, and Sport.
The reason they ask you to fill out that bulky profile is to help them determine what surveys are suitable for you to take.
How Do You Get Paid?
First of all, you need to have earned a minimum of $25 to cash out. The payment forms include Paypal, Amazon gift cards, free products from within their platform or a cheque addressed to you.
For programs like this, I always recommend you read the terms and conditions before joining. Do not give them a reason to withhold your funds.
Do They Have an Affiliate Program?
Yes, they do. But I’m sure you don’t care to know about that.
I would have signed up for their Affiliate program if the form was not so damn long. I’ll pass, thanks.
How Much Could You Really Earn?
Product Report Card does not put a number on it, and rightly so too. I will not put a number on it either. The answer to this question is: Not Very Much.
You will earn a few bucks here and there for participating in surveys but that’s about it. You certainly will not be getting next month’s rent by taking surveys on Product Report Card, or anywhere else for that matter.
Pros
- The whole sign up process shows they are serious about their credibility
- They don’t throw figures around to convince you that you would make a lot by joining their program
- These are real reviews for real products by real people
Cons
- The signup process is tedious and annoying
- You will make very very little compared to how much time you will be wasting taking these surveys
Product Report Card Support
They have a contact form on their website, along with a regular email address and phone number just in case you ever have any issues with payments and stuff.
Word on the Street About Product Report Card
At the time I heard of this program a while ago, I did not find any negative reviews. However, I found a few this time around lurking around the top pages on Google. I strongly believe these are isolated incidents, however, I cannot ignore them…
Closing Thoughts…
Is Product Report Card a scam? Not to me! There are a lot of positive reviews concerning this program online but I simply could not ignore these negative reviews because they are actually very recent. I have not taken any surveys on Product Report Card in a few months, so I am not a position to confirm or dismiss these concerns. Even when I did take surveys back then, I did not get anywhere close to the $25 threshold.
Having said all these positive things about Product Report Card, would I recommend it? No, I would not. Why? It is a waste of time in my opinion. If for some reason there were enough surveys to keep you occupied for a whole day, you still would not earn reasonable money. So what exactly is the point of wasting that much time? It is also not cost-effective in my opinion because you would need to sometimes buy products to earn a few bucks for surveying them.
If you are still insistent on survey sites, maybe you should join Swagbucks. This is a program that rewards you for stuff like using search engines or playing games – things you would normally do for free. It does not make you enough to retire early, but at least you make money here without devoting extra time.
Given the little of work you have to put in, you could argue that Product Report Card pays fairly. However, if you value your time, I think you should invest it into something more worthwhile. Something like building your own online business.
Both Product Report Card and my top recommended program offer you the chance to sign up for free. The difference is one could possibly only earn you a few bucks, while the other could earn you a full-time income. The choice is yours.
