Vindale Research Review: Among My Favourite Survey Sites

There are many ways you could get paid online. One of these ways is by giving your opinion on stuff through survey sites.

Some of these sites pay you for completing simple surveys. For some reason, others let you complete the surveys but do not pay you.

This is why I commend you for being proactive enough to look into Vindale Research before deciding if it will be worth it to expend your time taking their surveys.

What is Vindale Research?

This is one of the oldest survey companies available anywhere. They are based in New York and have been around the block is 2004.

Is Vindale Research a Scam?

This is probably what you are here to know.

In my opinion, Vindale Research is not a scam. I know for a fact that most people get paid by the site.

However, I have seen a growing number of people calling them a scam because they have not been paid.

My Two Cents on Survey Sites

My biggest issue with survey sites, in general, is that you earn peanuts compared to the amount of time you will spend completing surveys.

As a matter of fact, you could spend 30 minutes filling out some pre-qualifying questions only to find out that you are not even qualified to take the survey.

If most people take a step back to analyze how much they are making from survey sites versus how much time they are spending, it will become glaringly obvious how these sites are a waste of time.

With that amount of time, you could be laying the groundwork for an online business that will make you substantial income for years.

For some additional spice, I will be sharing what I do to make money “on the side” near the end of this review.

How You Earn with Vindale Research

There are a few ways you could earn money from this site. Some of these ways are:

(1) Taking Surveys

Using the information you provide to them, they determine what surveys you are eligible for. All you have to do is complete a series of short questionnaires and earn from $0.1 to $5 for each one.

This is not a feasible way to earn any form of meaningful money as most surveys pay less than $2.

(2) Referrals

If you have a system of getting referrals, this could definitely be worthwhile. You get $5 for each person you refer to Vindale Research.

(3) Evaluations

These are like surveys, but a special kind. You buy or sign up for a product or service that is on offer for a specified length of time and at the end of the trial period, you give your opinion on the product or service.

You are paid for your feedback and reimbursed the amount you spent to get the product. This way could be very rewarding sometimes. Other times, not so much.

(4) Payment Photos

Submit a photo of you and your Vindale payment and share your experience, then you earn $5.

There are a few other methods like answering a daily question and reward mails that only earn you a few cents.

What I liked

Unlike most survey sites, they pay in cash instead of points. This eliminates the annoying complication of having to convert points to cash.
Compared to most survey sites, their compensation for referrals is quite generous.
It has been around for many years. Most times, this is a good sign.
It is free to sign up. Take Surveys for Cash offers the exact same service but asks you to pay $25 for it.

What I Didn’t Like

Some of the links direct you to other survey sites.
Some of the evaluation surveys have recurring monthly payments. What if you forget to cancel at the end of the trial offer?
They have a growing list of complaints with a 1.5 costumer satisfaction rating from 90 customers.
They only issue payments in increments of $50. Considering most surveys pay between $0 and $2, it might take a long time to get a payment.
The payouts are deceiving sometimes. You could see a survey that promises to pay $35. You click and discover it costs $30 to take the survey. You are only earning $5.

How I Make Money “on the side”

If the reason you join survey sites is to make some money on the side, I have a more rewarding solution for you…

I make money on the side by building mini-niche websites. These are websites where you do most of the work in the beginning with the design and groundwork. They do not require constant updating and they become passive income generators after a few months. We are talking about hundreds to thousands of dollars per month for almost no work done and no time wasted.

I have already created a few of these websites and something tells me I’m not done yet. Whenever I think of a niche I feel would be profitable, I just create a website in that niche.

One of the most exciting aspects of internet marketing for me is the freedom to just create a website that could become a new income stream. It might sound overwhelming to you right now, but the fact is you can do it.

I’m nowhere close to being some “tech geek”. I only know this stuff because I got the right training and community to guide me. After some time, it will become second nature for you. 🙂 You can even build a website now!

Closing Thoughts

Even though Vindale Research is legit, I still think it is a complete waste of time if you are looking to make money. I cannot imagine having a life where I get to spend a huge fraction of my day taking surveys.
